Dad

JK Kim

On a Saturday morning,
Mom was off to work, leaving dad and I alone in the apartment,

As silence echoed the room, dad turned on music to break the silence,
Leaving us in the same environment, the sound of the clock ticked,
I stared at the clock for minutes to pass,

In boredom, I went up to him and asked if we can go play golf,
After some hesitation, he nodded and looked for tee times,

My dad shouted to my room, “Get ready!”
In joy, I got ready and went out with my dad to play golf.
We left the music on as we walked out of the house.
